It had been a while since i blogged.
I thought for at least 235892357 mins before i decided that i will put myself back into the blogging business again.
There are so much in my mind to be worried about.
Anyways,
i would actually like to start this blog with the recent uk trip i had went.
My whole trip had taken 18 days of my holidays in Lancaster.
It started on the 17th and ended today which is the 4th.
As some of you would know,
I had visited
1) London
2) Soton
3) Exeter
4) Bath
5) Swansea
6) Sheffield
To be honest, all this places had been decided in just a night.
I was supposed to go Edinburgh which is a 4 day 3 night trip until i realised most of the hotels had been booked for the new year eve period.
Therefore, we looked at the map of the whole United Kingdom and scanned through it for an approximate ten minutes. My friend went to ask her British housemates of all the interesting places to go and circled every single one.
Bath was actually our main priority for our new year eve celebration but then we realised it would be actually be cool to travel south going around different cities before we come back to our beloved Lancaster.
We first planned to go Leceister instead of Swansea because Leceister seemed to be a very big place. However after google-ing for hours, it seemed to be a boring place unless you want to do shopping but in the UK, most of the shops are quite similar so we are more into the city attractions. Anyways, we had actually booked all the hotels and tickets before i headed to London on the 17th. Everything seemed to be going well until the whole trip started.
There comes 17th where i had my last lectures of the term before i rode to London. Everything seemed to be in a rush when i had to do my laundry last minute and packed everything. I had to run to our University bus stop to catch the bus to the railway station. When i reached the railway, the train had just arrived and i had to run with my bags to the platform which is in the lower level.
Thank god for letting me catch the train where i sat for three hours to reach London Euston at around 8. When i reached the tube station, i forgot that my oyster was out of credit so i had to queue up to top up. It was quite embarassing when i had approached the oyster machines because i forgot how to top up. I kept pressing for the zone 1 and try to insert my one pound coins but the hole was actually sealed. Looking back at the people behind me with impatient faces, I had to leave without any progress so i went to the assistance queue to top up manually. Anyhow to cut the story short, i reached London Paddington where i met Ehsan and the rest when they were actually leaving for dinner. I joined em for Nandos that night before settling in Ehsan's room for a week stay. I wanted to thank him for providing such hospitality when the others had to sleep in the surau.
The next day was the basketball tournament which i had teamed up with Edmond, Cody and Izzudin for a team which is named '' Doner Kebab ''. I had actually little sleep that night so i was pretty weak for the games. Edmond met us at Paddington street where we picked him up straight away to go with us to the bus station. He had to drag his big bulky luggage all the way in the thick snow to the bus station and then to the Westminster Sports Academy which is at Royal Oak. Anyways, we had got the second tournament so i guess my teammates are pretty satisfied with the result. We lost in overtime so i guess we did give a good fight. Oh, i forgot to mention that the games provided Nasi Ayam for us which is pretty good if you eat it on the spot. I would explain later why did i say that in my next post. So for the time being, i would end here because i am really tired and i want to do my laundry. Yes, at this time 11.25 pm so i prolly would collect it at around 1 or 2 but its alright since its holiday =)
Bye peeps.
Signed off,
